Crisp crumb, molten butter. Our breaded chicken Kyiv (also known as chicken Kiev) is a tender chicken breast stuffed with garlic–herb butter, coated in golden breadcrumbs and ready to bake. As it cooks, the centre turns into a fragrant, buttery sauce that gushes as you cut—proper weeknight indulgence with mash, greens and a squeeze of lemon.

Product details

  • Breaded chicken breast filled with garlic–herb butter

How to cook

Oven (from chilled):

  • Preheat 200°C (fan 180°C). Bake on a lined tray 20–25 mins until piping hot throughout and juices run clear.

Air fryer (from chilled):

  • 180°C for 14–18 mins, turn once.

From frozen:

  • Add 5–8 mins to the above times, or defrost in the fridge overnight and cook as from chilled.

Tip: Rest 2–3 mins before serving to keep the butter inside.

Serving ideas

  • Mash, greens & lemon with extra parsley

  • Skin-on fries and a crisp salad

  • Garlic butter rice or buttered new potatoes

  • Slice over creamed spinach or tenderstem broccoli

Storage & handling

  • Keep refrigerated below 5°C (or frozen as labelled)

  • Once opened (chilled), cook the same day

  • Suitable for home freezing; defrost in the fridge and cook within 24 hours

  • Ensure piping hot throughout before serving

Does the butter leak?
A little is normal. Resting briefly helps keep more inside the Kyiv.

Can I shallow-fry it?
Oven/air fryer gives clean, even results. If shallow-frying, cook gently and finish in the oven.

What’s the herb mix?
Classic garlic, parsley and butter; may include chives/lemon—see label.

Is it very garlicky?
Nicely garlicky without being harsh—balanced by butter and herbs.
