Delivery Charges

Delivery Information

Delivery charges are calculated at a flat rate of £15.00 for fresh meat. We use a next working day delivery service, with insulated packaging and ice packs to ensure your products arrive in the best possible condition. Dried goods are charged at £10 per delivery, and we offer free delivery on orders over £75.

Orders placed after 12pm on Thursdays will not be dispatched until the following Tuesday, for Wednesday delivery.


Local Deliveries

All local deliveries are made on Thursdays or Saturdays, depending on your area and delivery availability. We offer free local delivery on orders over £20 within a 2.5-mile radius of DA1 4HG.

  • Thursday deliveries: Order cut-off is 12pm Wednesday
  • Saturday deliveries: Order cut-off is 5pm Friday

Scottish Highlands and Offshore Islands

Delivery Times and Liability

Delivery dates and times are provided in good faith by Uncle Beef Ltd when arranged with our courier service. We cannot accept liability for any direct or consequential loss or damage arising from delays, particularly if no one is available to sign for the delivery.


Perishable Products

Due to the perishable nature of our fresh meat, we dispatch all meat products fresh when in stock, packed with ice packs in insulated containers. Some items may be sent frozen, depending on stock levels — we will inform you if this applies to your order.

Please note: Uncle Beef Ltd cannot be held responsible for defrosted meat products. During warm weather or courier delays, products may begin to thaw. Please consider this when ordering large quantities.


Product Weights

All product weights for delivery are calculated including packaging materials. For example: 500g of Boerewors + ice pack + packaging = delivery charge weight.


If You Can’t Accept Your Delivery

If you are unable to receive your delivery on the scheduled date, please contact us before dispatch to arrange one of the following options:

  • Choose a different delivery day
  • Request the parcel be left safely on your premises (e.g. leave a cooler box — at your own risk)
  • Ask for the parcel to be left with a neighbour (at your risk)
  • Contact the courier company to re-arrange delivery or collection from their depot (additional charges may apply)

If you have not received your goods within 36 hours of receiving your dispatch notification, please notify us immediately.
