How to cook (from chilled)

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (fan 180°C).

  2. Place on a lined tray; egg-wash for shine if you like.

  3. Bake 20–30 mins (size dependent) until the pastry is deep golden and the centre is piping hot throughout.

  4. Rest 3–5 mins before serving.
    From frozen: Defrost in the fridge overnight, then bake as above (or add 5–10 mins if cooking from frozen—cover loosely with foil if browning too fast).


Serving ideas

  • New York-style: warm with mustard and sliced gherkins

  • Pub plate: chunky chips, slaw and pickled red onions

  • Board bites: slice and serve with cheddar, pickles and chutney

Can I air fry it?
Yes—180°C for 12–18 mins until pastry is golden and the centre is piping hot. Tent with foil if colouring too quickly.
